Gem the Springer spaniel demonstrated anxious and fearful behaviour when outdoors. She was a happy and relaxed puppy in the home; however, as soon as she stepped out of the front door she would panic and try to run back inside. This made life very difficult for the owner, who was unable to walk his dog around the busy city streets. Gem was unable to focus and learn new behaviour due to her extreme fear response. After a few weeks on Breakthrough dog food there was a marked improvement in her confidence level and ability to focus and learn new coping strategies. Several months on, Gem and her owner now enjoy happy and calm walks.
